After my great initial enthusiasm for the weekly themed photographic challenges Carmi poses over at written inc, life and all its requirements pulled me back under. That was August.
Nothing like a few days of rest to get back some of that enthusiasm then.
This week’s theme is “Rows.” I shot these railroad wheels on flatbed trailer in California’s Great Central Valley, one of my all-time favorite places.
The deets: 30D, 50mm, ISO100, 1/100, f6.3.

You’re welcome anytime…and I so hear you about life getting in the way. I get sad when workload keeps me from picking up the camera and giving it a proper workout. I miss being able to shoot every day, and the only way I keep up is to take pictures when I’m out and about, doing the mundane minutae of life.
I wish I had more time for this. It’s so much more fulfilling than workaday work!
This shot speaks to me. It just says “industrial”. I can feel the heft.
