The Renault 5 Turbo. In profile it’s eerily similar to the Le Car. You remember the Le Car. Everyone remembers the Le Car. But it’s a 5 Turbo and that is all the difference. Those big, vented rear fenders speak to that.
I knelt long and painfully to see down both sides of this car. I shot it in Carmel Valley, California, and these two present a fair portrait of the bizarre little rocketship.
