I've been scouring my local craigslist for a cheapie little point-n-shoot digital to keep in my pocket. I'd love to see what I could capture with a $20 camera.

So true. So often, I've had people rush up to me holding their newest overpriced wondercamera. They want me to be impressed, to let them know that I approve of their purchase. Yet I know folks who can outshoot them on a bad day with a cheapie Kodak point and shoot.

In fact, I keep such a camera in my camera bag for those moments when I need to get back to basics. It reminds me that great photographs are indeed born in the mind, and that cameras don't take pictures. People do.
