I didn’t leave the house today, what with all that sun and warmth and all. Instead I played with my camera, played with flickr, played with my blog, sort of worked. Sort of.
Then the sun got low and the light entered the house in the way that struck me. It’s fallen across the shishi lions at the front door practically since we bought the place—long grey winters excepted. But today I had a camera and I was restless and I wanted to compose.
I’ve not said as much yet, but the three lenses available to me currently are unremarkable, and two of them border on utter uselessness. One is an old Tamron 28-105mm f3.5-5.6, through which I captured these fearsome little protectors. Useless are the two Sigmas, which produce an “error99″ more often than not, such is their bunk compatibility with modern technology.
In any case, of all the shots I took, these two most satisfied me.
